My name is Christine, parent to Mia, who was a patient of Dr. Augustin’s. In July 2014 Mia tore her left ACL during a soccer game. I knew of Dr. Augustin through work. I heard the great things patients said about him and witnessed his work ethic and bedside manner personally. These qualities in itself earned my respect. The obvious choice to repair Mia’s ACL was Dr. Augustin. Mia was very comfortable with Dr. Augustin. He took his time explaining the surgery, the differences between the allograft versus autograft and what to expect during the recovery phase. He welcomed any questions regarding his plan of action for Mia. Because of his down to earth nature any fears Mia had regarding surgery quickly dissipated. Mine and her dad’s as well. We knew she was in great hands. Surgery went smooth and her recovery was amazing. Even the physical therapists were astounded at how quickly she rebounded back from surgery. She had no complications whatsoever. Oct 2015, Mia did it again, this time the right ACL. Again, it was clear who was going to do the surgery, Dr. Augustin. The surgery, recovery and therapy all were a repeat of the first experience. And again, no complications. Mia is already back to playing soccer this season. Honestly I cannot say enough about Dr. Augustin, his staff and his surgical team. Kind, dedicated, professionals where the patient is always the focus. I am eternally grateful to them all for taking such wonderful care of my daughter. I would, without reservation, highly recommend Dr. Augustin to anyone considering an orthopedic intervention. He truly is the best!
